Divine Control

My mind is filled with the conviction of God’s control over everything. As a disciple, I must maintain an attitude of perfect truth and an eagerness to ask, seek and trust. God is here! When facing difficulties, I will breathe and remember, “My Heavenly Father knows all about this”. He hears me, He sees me, He knows me.

Before I understood this view of divine control I would go from person-to-person asking for help. I was taking it laterally, trying to find the answers in the World. But now, I take it straight to the cross because spiritual challenges can’t be solved with a worldly perspective!

Today I rest my mind in steadfast confidence that God is behind all things. He is the perfect Father who delights in giving to his children. For all things - good and bad- I rest in the truth that my spiritual growth and dependence is far more valuable than my comfort and ease. Therefore, I trust in God’s refining process for everything, and that the fruits He’s producing inside me is more valuable than anything I could ever pray for.
