Pouring In

Years ago I remember my mother giving me a birthday card that read, “Success isn’t about how much you have, but how much you give”. It is a phase so simple but it made me really ponder - what am I giving? What am I giving to my family, my friends, my work?

The modern artifact of possession and “having” is such an illusion. Giving is the true measure of what someone has, because you cannot give what you don’t already have. This speaks to the essence of abundance.

When I give money, I feel wealthy.

When I give energy, I feel strong.

When I give time, I feel refreshed.

Today I focus on giving. For what we pour into the lives of others will certainly come back to our own.
