Daily Offering

Lord God, I bring you today as an offering laid at your feet. Today is a precious gift, one that I did not earn or deserve. Yet you have brought me into this morning with a careful plan for my day already skillfully mapped out. As I sit here and anticipate the many tasks I need to accomplish and all that I need to do, I remind myself that while my plans may seem important, it is yours that prevail (Proverbs 19:21). And more so, your plans are better. Your brilliance and perspective transcends all human understanding, and I will not fight the grain trying to make sense of what happens to me along the way. Because I trust you. Give me your strength and wisdom today. Your will be done.
